I have certain yearnings. Dont tell me those yearnings cant be largely realized. To me to try would be an admission that we have become so self-absorbed we would rather live in fearful alienation carry guns strapped to our fat hips into order to protect ourselves and our little stock piles of goodies from one another ... you know, stand our ground and shot one another. Good grief that is so pathetic! It would be like confessing we have become so sick we actually do prefer hell to heaven, under the illusion that we somehow still represent what it means to be christian. After all we are a christian nation, isnt that correct? Non-sense ... pure self-delusion. I think I am tired today. The sharing economy is largely heralded as a return to the village, an ahistoric utopia where we were friends with all of our trusted neighbors, lived in harmony with nature, and wanted not to consume, but to share.
