I have come to the conclusion that the Pirates are built to drive their fans crazy. Very strong pitching that keeps them in most games and a poor offense that gags in the clutch. The bullpen has been excellent so far and gets them in a lot of extra innings games. Then you have to watch them strike out with runners in scoring position when they have a chance to take the lead. Where is a Roberto, Willie or Scoop (Al Oliver) when you need a key hit? How many times do we have to watch them take called third strikes? It is way to early to panic but they need to get back on track, pronto!
