I have come to the realization that it is time someone says how it ought to be. There has been much discussion and debate in the service dog community about this fake or that fraud. The latest one is an actor being shown in the media with his service dog and to tell you the truth, I cannot believe some of the comments coming from the very people that have to utilize these dogs. Please remember that most of these stories are coming from The U.S.A.. I do not know if it is because of the fact that their is more service teams their or if it is because of the provisions in the A.D.A. to try and make it as assailable for people with disabilities to be able to have service dogs. This is my comment on the latest fiasco.... And please comment about your thoughts, without the personal attacks. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Who cares what people think of anyone and their dog? I live in a city of 60,000 people, and I have been called a fake or fraud and to tell you the truth all this prejudging about people and their dogs makes me sick. And that is because it almost killed me. It got so bad that I was afraid to go out in public. So in reality, the very thing that was suppose to help me function in society, turned out to be the key to a prison cell. So please before we of all people start labeling or judging anyone, think about how you would or did feel about it happening to you. Who cares if his dog isnt what it is? As long as the dog is under control and behaving, is it really effecting you? I have seen lots of so-called trained service dogs be totally out of control. And the disabled handler unable or uninformed on how to do a propure correction. Or do not have the time or ability to spend hours o end to train their dogs. To tell you the truth I would prefer to be in the company of the well behaved fake service dog. As anyone even considered that some of these people very good ambassadors for people with service dogs? It is only when the media and people from the service dog community that jump on this holier than thow band wagon like some of us that is causing all the damage. With respect Les R.
