I have completely rewritten the POD App that I mentioned last month - the new version is called SARCalc. SARCalc is available free to all members of accredited volunteer SAR Teams in the UK & ROI. It is geared around the needs of Search Planners, Search Managers and Search Party Leaders. It will calculate: POA Consensus, Segment POAs from a Regional POA, Probable Success Ratio, POD, Updated POA and Cumulative POD & POS. There are also Aide Memoires for Search Party Briefing and Reporting, and a Help section to (hopefully) make SARCalc user friendly. It can be used a a stand alone piece of software by someone doing things the old fashioned way (i.e.: with pen and paper), or to augment a computer-based Search Management system. Please send me a PM with your email address if you would like a copy of the app, complete with detailed installation instructions. (If you asked for the original POD app, youll be getting a copy shortly anyway.) Its only available for Android at the moment.
