I have curated my dear friend Vicky Roys exhibition Home.Street.Home, opening at Alliance Francaise (Gurgaon Centre) on 22 November, 7 pm onwards. It is a special occasion for me for it marks my debut as a curator - Home.Street.Home is a document of Vickys journey from 2005 till 2012 and is an amalgamation of two photo essays that he produced over these 7 years. In this show, I have attempted to present Vicky as a distant observer instead of an active participant...as someone who is reflecting on the life he once led...someone who is turning the pages of his life, but with an alienated sense of intimacy that comes with more questions than answers... I hope some of you can join us for the opening and deliberate upon this new direction that I have attempted to give to Vickys work. Cheers!
