I have definitely earned my weekend this week, which is amazing because it has been a short one, and its not quite over yet. Lots of ups and downs. Productive, yet it never quite feels like enough, and I am beyond exhausted. Just finished a bunch of baking for a bake sale fundraiser Im spearheading at work tomorrow, and now Ive got a couple hours of work to wrap up before I can hit the hay. Got Henry to bed a little later than I would have liked, but what started as a bit of a rough evening for him behavior-wise, unfolded into a very pleasant night. Nice conversation with him over dinner, and he enjoyed helping me with the very beginning parts of the baking project (and a little beater-licking, of course!). He had a nice bath, some reading together, and fell asleep sweetly after I got up from reading with him to check on the brownies. Im definitely coming to terms with the fact that our life will never be easy, maybe not even smooth, but we love one another so much that it holds everything together and makes even the tough times bearable.
