I have done a lot of listening to the situation of Americans being brought to Atlanta with the Ebola virus . Of course my first reaction was ARE YOU CRAZY????? Well Ive researched ....listened to experts in the field ....and now I support it. First ...Ebola is a nasty nasty thing. Its killing hundreds of people and there is NO FDA approved treatment . It has a 60% mortality rate. And I believe we ...as part of the human race need to help. We dont wait until its here killing us ....treating one or two Americans in a highly isolated area and studying it and learning more about it NOW is just wise. These people were on a humanitarian mission helping people in Africa and I for one am proud we did not turn our backs on them . Yes every precaution must be taken but it was the right thing to do. Its like aids ...its transferred through body fluids ...not airborne like the flu. Now is the time we prepare for it ...not after its here ...and disagree with me all you want ...but with the way people from third world countries are pouring into our country illegally ...I think we have an obligation to prepare for the worst . Ive been to where these patients are being housed and also to the CDC headquarters that is right down the road and the security is serious. I pray for those people risking their own lives to not only help these Americans ...but possibly the rest of the world. This is just how I see it.
