I have done quite a bit of research into Community Interest - TopicsExpress

I have done quite a bit of research into Community Interest Companies and it seems that most hackspaces are either CICs ( doesliverpool/about/ ) or Companies Limited By Guarantee (which are virtually identical but cannot have shareholders and it doesnt have the word Community in the title - which I think helps to emphasise the aims) Overall Id prefer a CIC model, this locks the company assets in trust for the community and gives us otherwise the maximum flexibility. So unless anyone else has an objection or any more to add then I will get on and sort out the CIC formation because I know from experience it can take up to 6 weeks.
