I have drawn all my life, usually little doodles here and there but I started drawing seriously when I took Art as an A level. I was given a free choice of what subject I could draw/paint/sketch/sculpt, and found that I enjoyed drawing/painting/etching/sculpting animals. The anatomy, beauty and overall movement of the horse interested me most I left school 6 years ago and some of my art is still on show at my school. The media I usually work in is chalk pastel, but i also work in charcoal, oils, oil pastels and watercolours. The size of the paintings are a little bigger than the usual portrait, they can be pretty much life size, but I can adapt certain aspects of a drawing to suit your needs. Around 2 years ago, I completed a portrait of Macchiato, the winner of Badminton Horse Trials 2008 ridden by William Fox Pitt. I have also drawn Olympic Horse, Folis, ridden by Samantha Albert for Jamaica in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing/Hong Kong. There are photos of both of these horses on my facebook album.
