I have enjoyed my stay with the host family from the very first moment and I have felt at home here since the beginning. I have not had terrible homesickness and when me and my host family started to talk about extending it was quite clear. I thought about it for few weeks - one year more after one year already here is a long time. I thought a lot about what I would do if I traveled home, what it would be like to stay away from my family another year - I decided to go with my gut-feeling and STAY! I am so glad I have decided to stay - feels like I am not done with my time here yet! Theres so much I still want to experience and now I have the chance do to that, as well as spend another year with my amazing host family - could I have it any better? - Rebecka, au pair nearby Boston who extended with her host family for another 12 months!
