I have enjoyed seeing the artists posting 3 paintings a day for 5 days to not only share more art on FB but to also engage viewers into discussing art related content as well. Patty Ripley and Claudia Olivos tagged me and although they have different styles, their work is amazing. I figured I would share artwork from when I first began painting 13 years ago to begin with. I had to give up being an elementary school teacher at the time and turned to art to keep my sanity while I dealt with a great deal of medical issues. Watercolors, especially bold ones were my first love, so I gave myself permission to play and learn with them....and discovered I had a knack for painting. Little did I know where that first visit to the library to check out some books would take me!!! These three pieces were paintings from my Seacoast series in 2003, in honor of living on the Gulf Coast. I still live there in my heart I think. You can view my current work at ardithgoodwin.
