I have escaped from Vodafone but there is still some unfinished - TopicsExpress

I have escaped from Vodafone but there is still some unfinished business... The Ombudsman are looking at my case but in order to proceed they need a deadlock letter from VF stating that they cannot and will not free me from my contract without charge. I have been asking for this letter since December by recorded letter, phone and fax. I sent one last recorded letter at the beginning of the week and if they dont reply I can ask the Ombudsman to consider it without the letter. Nothing from the MP lately although I was told before Easter she was drafting a reply to that tissue of lies she received. In the meanwhile I have cancelled my DD and taken my PAC code to EE (enough abbreviations anyone?). The signal is excellent (2g, 3g and 4g) and constant and the only time I had to phone their customer service I got a UK call centre with very polite and helpful staff. The price is a lot better too - with discount I will be paying £12-15 a month (SIM only) for unlimited minutes, texts and 6gb. They beat VF on all counts really and I just regret not having done this sooner. I expect they will chase me for the early termination fee but I have kept the Ombudsman informed, told VF why I am leaving and the Ombudsman reference number and have taken legal advice that was free with my household insurance. All in all I am a happy bunny and just loving the fact that people can call me and get through, my calls dont drop and the internet is actually useable on my phone.
