I have experienced many challenges in my life and have discovered the real battle is to move forward in the right direction. I ask myself often standing at this intersection of life, “Which direction is the right direction?” You have heard it said often, “Looks are deceiving” and so they are. The right direction many not look right at all. I am learning to observe with new perspectives. I call this time in my life, “The Awakening”. Instead of hoping and waiting for something or someone to change, or safety and security to engulf my very breath, or for the “happily ever after” to finally begin……….I know today it all begins with me and through this acceptance serenity is born. To obtain this courage does not mean there will not be any fear but it requires the judgment of knowing what is more IMPORTANT than FEAR. I continue to stand on the promises of the Almighty: Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
