I have found that our mouths can get us in a whole heap of trouble. Can I get an Amen!? We can say we have forgiven someone in our hearts or even with our words, but do our actions align with true forgiveness? In these passages below, we are challenged to speak truth, build each other up, resolve the anger within ourself and relationships. Also to practice wholesome speech about others, to resist bitterness, rage, slander, malice and fighting. We combat these things with kindness and compassion and most importantly: TRUE FORGIVENESS! This is the solution because it was Christ example for us, we forgive because He forgave. Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and Speak Truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of One Body. “In your Anger Do Not Sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. Do not let any Unwholesome Talk come out of your mouths, but only what is Helpful for Building Others Up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. GET RID of ALL Bitterness, Rage and Anger, Brawling and Slander, along with every form of Malice. BE Kind and Compassionate to one another, FORGIVING each other, just as in Christ God FORGAVE YOU. (Ephesians 4:25-27, 29, 31, 32 NIV) Remember to watch your words and actions as you proceed in your week. Are they leaning on the side of anger or forgiveness? What can you do to get to a point of true forgiveness? Ask God to soften your heart today if this is something you are struggling with, He is the source of all! ;)
