I have friends who are police officers. I train with police officers. I know what they are taught, and how long they have to learn it without spending their own time and money on additional training. Because Its not very long, and its not very thorough. I also know how scary it is to have to use your training against someone much larger and more imposing than yourself. I know the panic on being in the moment and only having a split second to make a choice and commit to it. I also want to point out, this is similar to how an unannounced/unkown pre-existing heart conditions or pacemakers can turn a tazer into a lethal weapon. without the pre-existing medical complications he likely would have survived. sometimes shit happens and it sucks, but the officer(s) arent necessarily to blame. So when I say that this officer of the law is an irresponsible, incompetent murderer; unfit for duty. I would like it to be understood that I say it with context. And that I know that many police officers are not like this man.
