I have got to say I am so incredibly proud to work for the company that I do, based on one teeny tiny fact. Yes we are very reputable, and profitable, and well respected....but those arent the main reason I love my job. I work in a store full of 20 or so women. I walked into the interview, months ago, thinking I was about to be one of a few if not the only Black/Hispanic woman at my store. To my surprise, I am surrounded by co-workers who are white, black, middle eastern, Hispanic, Indian, and mixed like me. I work with woman who wear XXS and women who wear XXL. My co-workers are kind, and understanding. We can laugh together, and cry together. We can jam out to Beyonce one minute and Eminem the next, then (reluctantly on my part) listen to country music too. My boss is super professional, but relate-able. My supervisor is hilarious and patient. My equal leveled co-workers are so incredibly interesting and diverse and every day brings something new to the table. We all shop the same store, yet we all have such different styles. Looking at my competitors, Ive got to say they have nothing on us. I have blatantly expressed my frustration with stores like J.Crew, Lululemon, Banana Republic, and so much more....I LOVE their clothing but some of my shopping experiences have been nothing short of being ignored and discriminated against thanks to some of the staff, not all though. So now, I am happy with both my jobs but this one is starting to prevail. I look forward to going to work every day, and seeing the amazing group of women who have changed my perspective of females, for the better :D I love you ladies
