I have got to share something with you all...call it Research and Development but...last week was extremely stressful for me 80% of it being the workload I had, coupled with a few personal challenges like being too tired to get my butt to the gym! Anyhow...Thursday and Friday I had developed a terrible tension headache...turned into a migraine with nausea and all. Anyhow over the weekend I told myself I wasnt doing anything, just relax, read on my iPad...hubby rubbed my feet...and I just simply did other domestic diva type stuff lol...I forgot to mention that I weigh myself daily, call me weird, but I like to pay attention to any changes. So long story shorter...um well kinda, Thursday and Friday the scale jumped up by 5.6 pounds...I hadnt changed my eating habits or anything so I was quite alarmed...over the weekend I said to myself...wait until Monday to weigh (it was hard, but I did) anyhow...my theory proved right...this morning the entire wait gained from last weeks stress COMPLETELY went away. FRIENDS...stress will affect your health in major ways if you dont take control of it!! Whenever you can...RELAX...cut the world off, shut your office door...learn to say NO sometimes and get some breathing room. Make an effort to take care of your body and mind by getting some form of exercise sometimes...no excuses for not putting your health and well being as a top priority....afterall, without your health, what do you have? One thing I learned from living in Japan for many years...was the idea of slowing down If youve ever read the book called The Blue Zones Okinawa is one of the places that have the highest longevity rates in the world...part of the reason is the Okinawans take time to relax, stress less, and excercise no matter if theyre 20, 30, or 90, they do it!
