I have grown old. My enthusiasm never wanes, but the body gives out. So, I have started on the console to the organ. It is a beautiful tiger-oak wood/veneer. I stripped most of it a year ago, reglued joints, stained and then put a wash-coat of shellac on it. Now, I have started the lacquering. And , the sanding...and the spraying, and the sanding, and the spraying, and the rubbing. I am worn. But....just WAIT TIL YOU SEE IT !!!!! The finish is as clear as glass, and when rubbed out, will be as smooth as silk. But, I am grown old.... When the console goes back together- within a couple of weeks- pictures will go up, and you will not believe the before and after!
