I have had a beaut day, out to lunch with a wonderful group of people, already to come home again and settle in for the night, but decided to stop in and see my Mum before back to MD. Big mistake on my part. I am so angry. Last week we were told that they were going to move her to the high care area, no problems with that at all, as she needs it now. We were told it would be Monday or Tuesday, so I packed up her room, only be informed it would not be until tomorrow, Friday. The poor lady has been sitting around in a room full of boxes and nothing else. Well as the week has gone on the care for Mum has become even less than what it was before. It is like the boxes are packed up so she is no longer our problem but we had better do what is the bare necessaties. Tonight at 4:30 I called in to see her and they were putting her bed. When I asked Mum why, she just shrugged and said they have been doing that all week, as it is easier for them to do it when they have a spare few minutes. She looked so sad when I left her, she expressed that she felt like she was no longer part of her little community in that particular section. Once in bed she does not have any interaction with her peers and friends again until the next morning. She will eat dinner alone and be forgotten about. Mum has all her facilities, and is physically impaired, hence needing more care. I find it disgusting that she is being treated this way and if the care does not improve once she is upstairs then all those complaints that my sister wanted to make on Monday, and I would not let her, well they will hear it from me. The way we treat our elderly is appalling, darn prisoners and boat people have more people looking out for them and making a bigger noise. Please God, do not let me get to that stage, and Jason Clark, Cory Clark and Ben Clark knock me on the head if I do. Dont put me in an old peoples home.
