I have had a lot of people checking on us today! Thank you and we are all much better! Its a new day and we can all look back and laugh at yesterday (which may go down in history)! I am laying down all pride as I tell you this story because it is humiliating! We found out that dad had to have dialysis (4 hour treatment) and an additional procedure that would take a few hours ... So I decided I would get mom out of the hospital for a few hours. We bummed around the mall a little bit then decided on steak for lunch. The steakhouse was downtown (hard to get to find) and we love the stack house (restaurant close to the hospital) it was familiar so we chose to eat there! I should have went with the steakhouse because as we were leaving the stack house my mom rolled her ankle stepping off the curb and landed flat on her back. Apparently, (mom loves it when I use that word) our family does not half way do anything - even falling! With the entire restaurant gazing at us and with the help of the staff we load mom up in my car and off to the ER we go! I left out the part where my mom tends to faint when she gets hurt! She did not pass out but it was a close call! We get to the hospital where she was treated for bruised ribs, ankle sprain, abrasions on her elbow and knee! Go mom - somehow she managed to hit every part of her body:(. As we are sitting there I start turning bright red and decided I probably should take my blood pressure so I can adjust my meds. I was told I could take it myself without checking in. I was thrilled because no way I was checking in! Well lets just say they were not very happy with what showed up on the screen slapped me in a wheelchair and guess what???? Yes, I checked in! Yesterday, my dad, my mom and myself all spent time as patients at Baylor hospital as patients! Meanwhile I had to do a verbal consent for my dads procedure! It was a great day:-))). As horrible as the day was God was not caught off guard! He already had people positioned to help us! Russell Pierce and Carla Pierce were literally parking in the parking garage as all of this was unfolding! Even in the darkest storms of our lives God ALWAYS provides a life boat and guess what... HE IS STILL GOOD!!!!!
