I have had a lot of success as a Beachbody Coach, but I think it - TopicsExpress

I have had a lot of success as a Beachbody Coach, but I think it is important that everyone knows there have been a lot of FAILURES along the way, too. I NEVER really considered myself an entrepreneur, but as I think back on this journey, I really feel like Ive always had a little bit of that entrepreneurial spirit...like I was destined for something MORE, and that road has been LITTERED with failure. 1) My first sales job was as an 18-year-old working at Circuit City in the portable electronics section. I sold cordless phones, Walkmans and Discmans (remember those?), and Boomboxes. And I SUCKED. FAIL. 2) During the eBay hay-day, I thought I would make my fortune selling what I THOUGHT were authentic NFL jerseys. I bought a sampling of 10 jerseys in Bulk for about $50 each from a supplier in China, and listed them on eBay. I sold ONE before getting a threatening letter from Adidas / Reebok for selling counterfeit merchandise, and the rest of those jerseys ended up in my garage for YEARS before I finally threw them out after the cat peed on them. HUGE fail. 3) During my fat years where I would sit and play Call of Duty for hours after the kids were in bed, I would follow these professional video gamers on YouTube and I would see how they were actually making money based on Views and Likes on their videos. I came THIS CLOSE to buying a video capture card and editing software to begin putting my own gameplay videos and tips on YouTube to try to gain a following and earn extra income. Only problem was....I SUCKED at COD. Another HUGE fail before it even got started. 4) My first few months as a Coach were even a BIG fail. I had 1 customer, NO coaches, and about $20 in earnings. But the difference with this was, I had found something I was PASSIONATE about and BELIEVED in. I didnt have a deep, emotional connection to those other failures like I had with Beachbody. Here, I had the opportunity to help MYSELF by getting fit and healthy and the opportunity to help others do the same, and that was something that I was determined to succeed with. It has NOT been easy, and I didnt just start out as a successful coach right out of the gates. I have scraped and clawed for EVERY accomplishment and I REFUSE to give up. If you were to find something you were passionate about, would you work at it DAY and NIGHT, make sacrifices, lose sleep, step outside your comfort zone, and NOT accept FAILURE for a couple of years so that you could spend the rest of your life living like most people cant? I can promise you, it will be WELL worth the time and sacrifice.
