I have had a number of people ask how my appointment went this week so I decided it was time to share again. I went to see the radiation oncologist on Tuesday. It had been rescheduled from the previous Thursday because of the weather. The people there are so nice. It makes it much easier to travel through this experience. We did the pretreatment setup stuff. They formed a mold of my upper body that I will lay on each time. I also got 5 tattoos. I dont know how those of you with tattoos did it! Mine are just pinpoint dots, but it still hurt a lot. I know that I dont ever want to go out and get another tattoo! Anyhow, we still dont know for sure when treatment will start. Dr. Dawson was to meet with some others today to work on a treatment plan. We should know sometime this next week when I will start. Larry is going to be taking family medical leave so he should be available to take me. I want to thank all of you that have offered help. It is greatly appreciated!!! I will let you know if we will need it.
