I have had an unfortunate amount of reproductive health struggles, - TopicsExpress

I have had an unfortunate amount of reproductive health struggles, from minor UTIs, to more advanced cancer screenings, and have relied on these centers for quick, urgent, affordable care. I couldnt walk into the health center in Boston without being screamed at and people trying to intimidated me, as though my health or choices were any of their business (hello, who exactly are you to scream at me for having uterine cysts?). The buffer zone has been crucial for protecting the safety of patients and staff, while allowing for Constitutionally protected free speech. Listen, while I dont appreciated being harassed and threatened, I am all for allowing protestors to voice their views and opinions, more power to them. The buffer zone, however, was a safety measure that made it possible for me to be able to get access to my healthcare without having to sacrifice my safety, and I am incredibly disappointed in this decision. That being said, I urge any of my Boston friends who have the ability and want to help to volunteer as escorts, so you can help women like me who need help getting into centers without being harassed or threatened.
