I have had conversations with several individuals about the right time to purchase a horse. Well.....I heard several legitimate reasons and several ones that, to this day, stump me on realistic views of ownership. When someone says I dont want to buy one now because I dont want to feed it through the winter should not ever consider ownership because you are telling me its a convince factor for you to own a horse. Usually with this mentality the horse ends up neglected. When I hear someone say.... well its bad timing because I have to work, and I will only be able to ride on the weekends welcome to everyone who owns a horse life. We work, and ride when when its possible for us to ride. Its up to you to make the effort to get in the saddle, especially if you love the partnership with your horse. So dont let life hold you back if you want a horse, you just have to be responsible and sensible about it. Theres more riding opportunities than you think.
