I have had many people ask me >>> How do I do this on all of my tall trees? Here is proof as you see my video showing you on my preparations plus me carefully climbing my ladders on a very light wind day. I would never ever be up that high on this 26 foot slash pine tree if there was any kind of a breeze! Its much easier to not be moving around and having to fight the wind! I always attach the extension ladder with thick wire to the branches in three locations plus have two heavy concrete blocks at the bottom of the ladder to hold it down. Its just like having a person holding the ladder in one place so there is no shifting around and theres no way that the ladder will fall down! I edited the video show the two different ladders that I frequently use on most of my trees. Another major thing that I never do is severely lean the ladder into anything high up, there is very little slope (mainly vertical) and this prevents (extra weight) at the lop of any tree or branches!. Yes there is always traffic on my street so that is why I put the safety cones out BEFORE I place my ladders in place! I have had many people look up as I am decorating and some even stop by to say hello to me! Putting the lights up on this tree would normally take me 4 hours and then taking them down only one and a half hours!
