I have had numerous students tell me about their friends who have been in accidents , both fatal and non fatal because of texting and driving. One student told me she was in a car with her friend and they were rear ended at a red light. The driver(newly licensed) who hit her was doing 60 mph in a 45 mph zone and was checking a text. Thankfully the girl and her friend were okay but the impact was so hard at that speed they did get pushed into the car in front of them and the car was totaled. This video hopefully will help to drive the point home. Just dont do it!!
