I have had trouble talking about this for the past week but my beloved Hershey needed to be put down a couple weeks ago to end her suffering. Ive have had her since I was 13 and I cannot describe to you the pain this decision caused, although keeping around was only selfish. I reminded of my own mortality once more, that one day we must go home. I leave this post with a quote from a 6 year old about the death of his dog and why they are taken away so soon. I know why dogs live such short lives. We come here to this life to learn to love to be nice and become a good person. Dogs just figure that out a lot sooner...
