I have had updates from Dr. White concerning the debate. We are still working out the details but here is my offer. I will send out a notice that my news conference will now be a debate. Held at my office 3709-22nd Place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. I am hopeful to get Wade Wilkes to serve as moderator. Since Dr. White is a large contributor to Ms. Gibsons campaign he should be well-suited to understanding how she views the issues of water, electric generation and debt. Lacking her participation I will rely on Dr. Whites comments about where his candidate stands. We will address his issue of my analysis of her campaign finance and how he contends it is inaccurate but we will also discuss issues of more significant relevance to the citizens of Lubbock. Related to my office having limited space we ask that supporters for either candidate be restricted to 2 so that there will be sufficient room for the media. On other matters please tune in on 580AM in the morning at 7 a.m. where I will be talking further about the issues.
