I have heard lots of chatter about what is called Halal for - TopicsExpress

I have heard lots of chatter about what is called Halal for Muslims or Kosher for Jews when it comes to slaughtering animals for human consumption. I like you have seen some of the videos posted of men hacking animals into pieces and it has been called Halal or Kosher. It is certainly NOT that! I grew up in the Midwest in rural America and worked and lived on farms and was around many different people that slaughtered their own animals for food. I have also witnessed the methods used at large slaughterhouses here in America. What we have allow to develop is an antiseptic disconnect between the animals we consume and the manner in which they become meat. For far too many of us meat comes magically on Styrofoam trays shrunk wrapped at the local grocery and so other than price we give it very little thought to the animals themselves. And that my dear friend is more the pity for us. These animals each and everyone have given of themselves in most cases in the most egregious manner their very lives for our sustenance. On our farm we employ the most reverent and humane means of slaughtering any and all of our animals. I purposely use the word slaughter rather than as is the trend in our PC world of less than accurate adjectives such as dispatched, as though they were going abroad for the holidays. Right here in Texas we have a slaughterhouse called rightfully so, Mercy Slaughterhouse and the fine folks there have taken the time to show you the correct manner of how to properly slaughter an animal. Despite the current hard held opinions of Muslims by many because of what is going on that we face as a country, it does not detour from the fact that this method predates every Prophet all the way back to Adam. The manner in which God himself has commanded us to do. Now whether you are a person that believes in God, no matter the faith or not, you must conclude this is the most humane manner in which to slaughter. In this first part no animal is actually slaughtered so if you are a very tenderhearted person this will be a video you can watch and one that would be appropriate for children to view as well as it only shows the submission of the animal for slaughter. Something I would wager you have not only never witnessed but never imagined possible. I would ask you to take the time to view this and please let me know your opinion after viewing. We should all always honor and respect Gods creatures and never bring undue suffering or belittle the true dignity of these gifts from God.
