I have heard that forgiveness is something that we should do for - TopicsExpress

I have heard that forgiveness is something that we should do for ourselves more than for someone else and that we are often prisoners in our own bodies because our unforgiveness of someone just eats away at us. Our sins are forgiven by God and often our unforgiveness of ourselves causes us great pain and anguish as well. The well worn phrase Let go and let God is really true. Forgive others and ourselves as He has forgiven us .God forgives us completely from the sins that we commit. And what an awesome promise it is! He will not only forgive us our sins, but He remembers them not. I praise God that He has given me the discernment (or wisdom) to know my sin, confess it and when I do, I am forgiven of it and the slate is wiped clean! I bless You my precious Abba and thank You for Your promises. And You changeth not!!! You are the same yesterday, today and forever and Your promises to us are the same that they were to those living thousands of years ago!!!! Daniel 9:9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Colossians 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever. What a simple concise statement this is. But the power and the meaning behind it is enormous. This is one of my favorite verses in the bible and I use it often to describe the unchanging character of Jesus and God. Yesterday and before the world began He was. He and God and the Holy Spirit created the heavens and the earth. John 1:1-3 says, In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through Him and nothing was created except through Him. He is the same today, and He sits at the right hand of God interceding for us. Romans 8:34 Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. And forever - 1 John 5:11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
