I have hit the wall re finding info on my Danish GGrandfather: Soren Peter Olesen, born: 21 Sep 1859, Denmark, Died: 13 Jun 1916 in Minnesota. I think he came to the US in 1870. I am looking for info on place of birth and anything on his parents and other family members. In the US, he lived in Fargo, North Dakota. He went to work for the Northern Pacific Railroad as a laborer and worked his way up to the respected position of railroad engineer. In 1911 3 armed men boarded his passenger train. While two of them started robbing the passengers, the other went forward to the engine and ordered him to stop the train. When he did not immediately obey, the robber shot him in the chest. He survived his wound but complications from the wound shortened is life and he died in the hospital in 1916. Thanks for any help you can give me.
