I have introduced my kitties to the world But would not like to - TopicsExpress

I have introduced my kitties to the world But would not like to tell everyone about their mom. Her name was WooWoo. We rescued her litter from beneath an abandoned mobile home(there were 6 babies but never found the mama cat. On their first vet visit, we were informed that all had a form of feline MS with speculation that the mother had been exposed to a harmful chemical. The vet said she had seen this in kittens over the years but had never seen an entire litter affected like this. One of the babies was in such bad shape(couldnt stand or eat) that we had it put to rest The other 5 was from mild symptoms to serious and we were told they may not survive. WooWoo was the worst and we were told she likely would not make it 6 months. We found good homes for 4 and decided to keep and love Woo as long as we would have her. That turned out to be almost 15 years. Many of our friends and people that met Woo called us cruel and uncaring to force her to live a life with her condition. She was well loved and as such returned more love and affection than she received. She went on to have a total of 5 litters( she would not have survived spaying) of the cats I currently have, 3 are her children. Theres Pounce (white female-12) FatBoy ( Tuxedo whose name was actually Stripe until the spay/neuter clinic recorded his nickname instead 9), and Scary Harry-7 (so named because we couldnt find him a forever home elsewhere- 3 times he went to friends, 3 times he was brought back as unfriendly and mean) he does not like to be held in your arms but loves laps or any surface where he can be readily petted. I should mention he has claws about 1/2 in long and trimming them never lasts long. I do have also Rescue Bob who showed up at my house looking starved and and likely Feral. he was ( I estimate) about 5-6 months old and it took a lot of putting food out and water and just talking to him for him to finally trust me enough tp allow me to touch and pet him. That process is ongoing. but now a treat- This is the only video I actually have of WooWoo-she seemed to know we were trying to get something to send to Americas Funniest Videos and whenever she saw a camera pointed toward her, she would stop where she was until the camera moved away. But you could not have asked for a better cat. When you see the video remember she was smaller than any of the cats that she gave birth to (FatBoy is seen in the video). Woowoo past away last year but she was aware that her time was almost up I had already moved to Fl and left her with my 2 Daughters that was still at home. They tell me she constantly followed them around and climbed into their laps whenever they would sit, purring and snuggling. She passed away in her sleep on my youngest,s bed. Sweet, playful, mellow and I still miss her
