I have just been reminded of John Steinbecks Of Mice And Men.......this was a high school set work which set me to wondering about favourite works that we had to read at high school. I loved Shakespeares King Lear, Hamlet and MacBeth. Cry The Beloved Country by Alan Paton was an all time favourite as was Lord of The Flies, Far From The Maddening Crowd ( although I wanted to smack Bathsheba!!) 1984 and Animal Farm, The Crucible, Pride and Prejudice, To Kill A Mocking Bird, A Passage To India, The Diary of Ann Frank, Tom Sawyer and The Great Gatsby. And then of course there is the poetry.............So many years ago but lovely memories. what have I left out Maureen Jennings and Megan Jane Clohessy McDonald and Penny De Vries
