I have just finished reading the book, Love Anthony, by Lisa Genova. It is the story about a non-verbal autistic boy and the many challenges faced by all concerned The author is a neuroscientist and has written the books, Still Alice and Left Neglected. Still Alice about a middle-aged woman who has early onset of Alzheimer disease and Left Neglected who suffers a brain disorder as the result of an automobile crash. Both of these books are extraordinary in the insight they provide to individuals suffering with these disorders. Love Anthony also provides a plausible look into the mind of the child with autism. There were parts of this book that I thought were a little contrived but not the parts that pertained to Anthonys story. I am just sharing this information and would be interested in others perspective.
