I have just got off the phone to a 75 year male client of mine, who was has been feeling totally exhausted, headaches, feeling flat emotionally and had bad pain in his knees. This is a very health conscious man who hardly has processed foods and a very clean diet. (He is happy for me to share this with you) this was his daily diet... Brekkie.....Muesli with around a cup of fruit and milk Morning tea....Piece of fruit Lunch....Organic sourdough bread with lettuce, tomato, avocado and small piece of fruit cake Afternoon Tea....Bowl of mixed fruit Dinner....usually protein and vegetables What I suggested to him is that we needed to calm his blood sugar levels, and make sure he was eating protein for brekkie with fibre.. We also looked at taking the grains away for a few days to see how he felt. So breakfast became, poached eggs with avocado and spinach, lunch and diner was salad and protein, snacks nuts and seeds or yoghurt, and only having a small portion of low glycemic fruit with protein. Only three days later he has just rang me to say his energy is back, his head feels clearer and he is feeling on top of his game again!!! How simple is that???? Food has a huge role to play with our energy and emotions, I like to teach people that we dont need to follow a diet and deprive ourselves, we just need to fill up with the right foods for us and each of us is so different. What works for one doesnt work for all. If you are struggling in some way then I am happy to help you through that phase, simple changes can make a huge shift. I always offer a free 50 minute Health Consultation for anyone who would like it, if that sounds like you then just fill out my form on my website and I can get in touch with you....you dont need to live in my neighbourhood, I work with clients via Skype and over the phone.....have a fab day! thenaturalbird.co.nz/contact
