I have just learned that Manang Ofring Elizaga, long time chapter administrator of the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), Olongapo Chapter and long time friend of my mother Amelia and our familly has moved on to join our Lord and Mama in heaven. We mourn with her husband Manong Cris and the rest of her family and many friends but we also thank God that she lived her life on earth with great dignity and limitless compassion and service towards the vulnerable amongdt us. She and my mother, whom she fondly called Mama, worked tirelessly in the PRC, had great times together in making the Olongapo Chapter a very relevant and successful chapter. Kate and I had many wonderful times with her, and we had nothing but utmost respect and love for her. She will be missed by the many whose lives she has touched. We pray with thanks for Manang Ofring and her family and we will miss her. God bless the Elizagas.
