I have just posted an interesting point of Bible translation. In Bible Class recently it was observed that where the KJV and the NIV only say officers, the NASB says cohort, indicating that there were Roman soldiers present with Judas when Jesus was arrested in the garden. I was asked why this difference exists. The short post is the result of my study. I also pointed out that Greek and Hebrew words sometimes changed meaning over the centuries. So has the English language, a fact that has necessitated new translations which reflect the changes in meanings of words. An example of this is found in Acts 28:13, where the KJV reads we fetched a compass, Check out my website at studythebiblewithdrtaylor
