I have just put my son to bed, and can now come to Facebook and grieve for a man that was such a huge part of my life. Denny Wilson died last night. He was a man of the Greatest Generation...true to his convictions, didnt bow to the softness of society, yet always held the utmost regard for his family, faith and what he believed was best for this country. He was a young father, providing for his growing family at Boeing...eventually having nine children, and not being so young! The remarkable thing about him, is that during this time, he not only had time for me, before and after my father died when I was eleven, but he always had time for his brothers four children when their father died. He was the Teddy Kennedy of our block. I will miss you Mr. Wilson...thank you for always including me, at dinner, on vacations, on Saturday mornings when you didnt even know I had spent the night...thank you for helping me work on my jump-shot and thank you for always going double or nothin on say Uncle...I soooo appreciated that 50 cents! I will miss you!
