I have just spent my first day in my house without my Mother. She lived with me for 7 years and passed away yesterday afternoon. She lived 88 years and I am glad that she went peacefully. Daddy passed away 10 years ago and I am sure he met Mother yesterday and said, Miss Catherine, what took you so long? ( He never was really patient and and it was a little after lunch.) She will be missed. The hardest thing today was walking by her room. Thanks to all the fabulous friends that helped me through this week and the doctors and nurses at MCCH.
