I have just unsuscribed to your YouTube channel, Ellen DeGeneres. You seem to have blocked all comments on the show with the pizza guy. That is even more disappointing. I dont expect an apology, since although I wear a dress I am not a person who impersonates celebrities such as Liza. I created my character, Ms. LaReina, to take on haters like the Westboro Baptist Church. I am respected by many soldiers and even Christians who get what I do. But the more I think about it the more I realize that you are the impersonator, Ellen, a person who impersonates someone who is supposed to be a friend to ALL of us in the LGBT community. I was offended. You seem to want to help gay people at least the lesbians, and I am sorry if you were outed somehow a while back, but if you are going to be any sort of example or leader to the millions of LGBT around the world, then you need to get more educated on the many degrees of not only gayness but masculinity and femininity in this country. I suspect you were probably nervous, and I suspect that the reaction of a comedian might be to take no prisoners and attack whoever is closest ... I mean the guy from The Office was pretty rude a few years ago... but to call a legend like Liza a drag queen even in jest when she was there to honor her mother is really - well I dont have words to describe it. I am not what some gay men hatefully call a show tune queen since I have never been to a musical in my life, and consider CANT STOP THE MUSIC with the Village People a musical. Much of the music I use for my videos is country music licensed to me. Ill admit I love Hee Haw. But I have respect for those who have been around as long as Liza, especially since she is a friend to the gay community. Maybe we should call it pulling an Ellen when someone is insulting to a legend like Liza, as I dont want this incident to reflect on lesbians in general ... but it does hurt me because I thought we LGBT really had a powerful ally in you. I am quite well aware of the pecking order that exists among men in the gay community, but that notion is a gay mans notion. So for you to join in and knock every transvestite who ever lived whether famous or not the way some knocked black people back in the day is horrendous. I have shed tears over this ... and its not easy to make this industrial strength blonde cry. Its not okay to treat drag queens like lesser class citizens when all of us LGBT are treated that way by the straight world, and by Log Cabin Republicans as well. Of course the Loggers have an excuse, stupidity - WHAT pray tell is YOUR excuse, Ellen? Did some gay man flunky who works for you tell you that drag queens are not to be respected? Why would you listen to this sort of hatred? Did a Liza impersonator insult you at some point? WHY. Ellen. why? What I fear most is that young crossdressers around the country and around the world will be the ones paying for your little joke at Lizas expense, as well as ours. The last thing I want to hear about is that some young person killed themselves when they thought they had a friend in you, but it became dangerous for them since if Ellen can treat drag queens like less than human, then others around the country and the world can. And that is definitely a bad thing. - Ms, LaReina DelBarrio, East Los Angeles, CA
