I have known Cynthia Cindie Ganc Pecora for many years...our sons played sports together. We lost touch for years but recently met up again when our grandchildren were involved in sports. Last January, my Dad had a stroke and was in rehab at the Gunderson Rehab in Hazleton, she was a patient there from complications from her very serious illness. I would sit and visit with her every day that I was there to visit my Dad. While we enjoyed our visits together, mostly talking about our children and grandchildren, who were the loves of her lives (mine, too)...she was always worried that my spending time with her was taking away from my Dad...I always told her that I had time for both of them. We kept in contact through Facebook...even though she was suffering from a devastating illness, she was the most caring, generous, uplifting person I have ever met in my life! She was always the first to comment on anything I had posted, always asked about my Mom and her rehab buddy, as she called my Dad. She was always encouraging my daughter, Tara Marie Elizabeth with her running and I think she was was my son Timothy Felegies biggest fan on here! Every time he did a Triathlon...she always was cheering for him said she was so proud of him for changing his life! She had such a positive outlook on life, always looking at the best in everyone. She was always posting the most inspirational things on here...NEVER a negative word out of her mouth, in spite of dealing with her illness...there were so many times that I felt so down, especially after my Dads stroke...she would send something to me and I would be ashamed of myself for being down when I have so much to live for and she lived her life in a constant struggle! She truly touched my life in so many ways....May you rest in peace, Cindy...fly with the angels, my sweet friend!
