I have learned and I am still learning to be less ego driven in my communication and I am seeing it pay off. I came in with a sincere heart, clear mind and direct language with the school system today. I am so glad I retreated from the situation and gave myself time to sort the data and my emotions before entering back into the conversation. What I found was a group of human beings having varied experiences but that really did not mean each other harm. I used the skills I have been meditating on for setting intention and clearing the air of defensiveness and hostility and it made for a more productive and honest meeting. We all benefited from it. I walked away with a very different energy than I entered and I think they did too. No matter what decision I end up making for my child we all have grown from today and that is a great feeling of accomplishment. #growingup
