I have learned over the past couple years that photographers are VERY VERY passionate human beings. They are passionate in just about all aspects of life, there is no doubt about that. I have seen first hand the passion they have for their career as well. I share in that passion! I get why photographers, who make this a full time career investing lots of time, energy, learning and money into it, are so very passionate. I also get why those same photographers have frustrations for others who want to get into photography and lack the passion and understanding of what it takes. I get why those same frustrations roll over to those outside the industry who may not understand. We have lost so much sleep. We have fought to prove ourselves. We have defended our work. We have gained new colleagues who we call best friends. We have sweated, A LOT. We have been up between 1-4am getting galleries completed because we also are mostly Moms with kids still at home or working full time jobs in the real hours of the day to help get our photography business going. We are trying to live out this dream that is our passion. We are providing for our family while we capture your family. We love what we do. It is a roller coaster of emotions that go into this career choice, and we accept that and hang on for dear life. Please, especially if you are a newer photographer trying to make it a go, please rethink, before putting our industry down or other photographers who have been at it longer, for our prices we have thoroughly have picked to make our business flourish, for what we choose to photograph-or rather not choose to photograph, what we stand for as a photographer and what we want to accomplish in this career.
