I have learned quite a bit on Facebook these past few days (while I was home sick). First, I learned that regardless of age, gender & socio-economic status that bullying/cyber bullying still happens. Its sad. Im glad that I am not a part of it. Second, some people can (and do) change. They will show you this change if you give them the opportunity. If you dont choose to give them the chance to show you that change then it is best to move on with your life. No since dwelling in the past. Third, (and perhaps most important) you can actively choose EVERY DAY whether you want to make the best out of life or to be miserable. This pertains to life on Facebook and off of Facebook. As I said, I have witnessed negative hateful behavior these past few days, but I have also witnessed some of the most beautiful & giving behavior! With the help of 2 friends (Courtney Cheri & Tracy A DeFelice) I had a perfect stranger contact me about making the Angel Gowns for tiny angels in the NICU. Now, after a few hours, a bunch of messages with Sue Caruso & a couple posts to the new page, we have over a dozen people willing to donate wedding gowns to the project! We also have many volunteer seamstresses! I just want to say that if I must be labeled as a type of person on Facebook then I hope to be seen as a positive person who makes the best out of things...not a negative person who brings others down. I know this is long, but I just wanted to share!
