I have left French Guyana. It was only eleven days, but wow. I saw the largest rocket ever made take the heaviest payload ever into space. I went to Oyapock River Bridge, a $US50 million white elephant. The bridge links a village of three thousand to a village of five thousand and it is not open although it is finished. I think it is one of the worlds great white elephants. I went to Devils Island but only as a visitor. The French wine and food is great and inexpensive. I saw lots of animals from Sloths to butterflies. So French Guyana is well worth your attention. I am now in Surinam, this was only going to be a stop on the way to British Guyana but the place is so beautiful the capital city is a picture. I may stay longer.
