I have lived a few places where The Weather Channel focuses on what is happening in your area. Florida during several hurricanes, even before The Weather Channel was around, I went through several storms. Dallas, TX during severe storms and tornado warnings too. In Texas, at least we were where we could hear the sirens so we knew when danger was coming, but here in Iowa, dont like this one bit, I feel so isolated, exposed and unsafe. The Weather Channel has had people here and focused on Des Moines for hours tonight. It is dark out and you have radar but it is out of date by the time you get it and 5 minutes can make a huge difference. I know South Carolina can get severe weather too, but we wont be near the coast and I really dont think we will have anything like we get here. Excited to move
