I have made my morning ... surrounding myself in near silence ... absorbed in my book. Most assuredly, Anne and I more consistently wrap ourselves in multiple layers of familiar sounds ... TV, music, computers, etc ... there must be some psychological safety in doing so. Nevertheless, Anne is off and inexplicably, I have chosen silence as my companion for the moment. I have all but disappeared into my new book ... emerging from its pages only for lifes necessities ... coffee ... food ... more coffee! I am reading The Lady in White by Wilkie Collins and was soon hooked. My only distraction is myself ... that being my own thoughts. Images of the Woman in Red (Gene Wilder) pop into my consciousness uninvited. It wasnt a very good movie. The thought doesnt stay with me long. Then, Lady in Red by Chris DeBurgh. I love this song. This will be harder to get rid of. I stop reading long enough to listen to it on the computer and write this thought on FB. No wonder people dont read ... it is too hard.
