I have made some very unwide decisions great mistakes because I did not wait patiently upon the lord for instruction. I neglected to diligently seek Him before making a decision. One incident where I impulsively went with my heart and did my will not Gods will. I never thought of the proverb I needed to remember. Years later I reaped the consequences of that decision. Following biblical principles in your decision making: I seek at the beginning to get my heart into such a state that it has no will of its own in regards to a given matter. Most of our difficulties we can overcome when our hearts are ready to do Gods will, whatever it may be. I ask God in prayer to reveal His will for my life. Dont be anxious for your will or you will be reaping the consequences?
