I have made the decision to close Knitters Palette Yarn Shop. - TopicsExpress

I have made the decision to close Knitters Palette Yarn Shop. This was not an easy decision for me, but I believe that it is the right decision. There have been several major events that have happened both at the store and in my familys personal life in the past month that have made the decision to close that much easier to make. The shop has been successful enough that this is somewhat difficult, however, as the time drew closer to having to sign another lease term with the property owners of this center, I had to start weighing the pros and cons of running a retail business. Starting up Knitters Palette was something that I will never regret. We have THE MOST AMAZING customers. It has been so rewarding to see friendships form through the shop, babies being born and the proud mothers and grandmothers picking out the perfect knitting project to make for that new baby. We have shared the highest of highs and the lowest of lows with our customers and friends and it has been amazing. But, now it is time for me to move on. Im excited to get to know my family again. I have parents that arent getting any younger that I would like to be able to spend more time with. I have two great daughters that have turned into beautiful young ladies and I would like to spend more time with them also. And the grandchildren - I need to have a more flexible schedule to allow my grandchildren to get to know me, and not just be the grandma that always has to work. My husband has been my greatest supporter, but I know that he would also like us to be able to spend more time together. So, it is now time to make my family my priority. I still have a little bit of time remaining on my current lease, so we will be around for a little while more. To start our closing sale, Im offering 20% OFF ALL INVENTORY (40% OFF THE ITEMS IN THE SALE SECTION), excluding special orders. As the time gets closer to the final day, well be adjusting the discounts to larger amounts. As of today, all sales are final, we will not be accepting returns or issuing any gift cards, and I will no longer be taking special orders. We will still be holding scheduled classes and shop Knit-Alongs. If you have gift cards, I encourage you to redeem them as soon as possible. Stay tuned to our Ravelry group, our Facebook Page, and the shop blog to get more announcements regarding additional discounts on the shop inventory as we get closer to our last day. If you are interested in any of the fixtures in the shop, let me know. Most importantly, I sincerely appreciate the opportunity that I have had to help you with your fiber needs these past 8 years. I have met some great people and have made some lifelong friends and for that I thank you. Best Regards, Pam
