I have many heroes in my life, but none grreater than this couple who have dedicated their lives to the welfare and wellbeing of the forest and the Black cockatoos of this region...... Right now, it seems to be heartbreak upon heartbreak as both the forest and these human heroes are suffering great pain........ Please watch and share this video (from a few years ago) and also sign the petition to stop the senseless logging of the very forest - HELMS - where the Black Cockatoo sanctuary releases the rehabilitated birds to....... That this forest would be logged when it is critical to the Black Cockatoos who have been saved and rescued, defies belief..... Please help us to help everyone, in particular the Pattersons who I hold in the highest esteem and adore and appreciate as friends ..... *Stand with David and Dee* David and Dee Patterson have dedicated their lives to caring for Black Cockatoos and working to protect Helms forest - the release site for their rehabilitated birds. Now, after years of illness, David is in palliative care in the local hospital, while the Governments Forest Products Commission is logging Helms forest.
